Research, Design and The World Model

With the current state of hardware development we are given countless possibilities to convey our concepts, ideas and emotions to the screens of the target audience. In the last ten years we have been devoted to constantly researching the new, better ways of visualize our concepts in the most advanced possible manner. We have developed shaders, special effects, lighting & shadowing systems and the whole new art of image composition and moodboard-to-realtime content production and rendering. Our research and development has been branching in respect to our goals: while doing full real-time 3d arcade gameplay, we focus entirely on the moment of interaction and detail galore of the outer world.

While creating 2.5D adventure, we have developed a unique real-time 2D/3D compositing with multitude of layers, cleverly balanced and biased in order to make frozen 2D matte paintings vivid, emerging from their predetermined stillness. Our research relies heavily on the studies of the modern cinematic art and screen-to-person experience. This synergistic approach to the concept and digital art, extremely detailed 3d modeling, careful and next gen lighting and shading resulted in a study of our own, unique compositing, shading & rendering style.

Our work renders a fine-detailed model of the game world and its inventory: substantially looking characters, complex surroundings, with recognizable, unique look and feel, populated with particle effects, sounds, animations, submerged in a tide of filigreed shadows & lights, pulsing with life and movement.

The "Game's Feedback" composition is often a complex team play between animation, graphics effects, camera reaction, sound effects and music.

User Interface Design

Designing GUI is always a difficult, time consuming task, with many trial & errors. The functionality of each product can be represented as a chain with dozen of members, where one of them quite often happens to paralyze the others, rendering them worthless - namely, the GUI. Without a ripe GUI the experience of the game can suffer immensely. In our products we have strived to develop custom and smooth Graphic User Interface, putting accents on different things - be it swift action/reaction times, customized controllers, fancy look with fancy user interactions, or simply biased toward fast navigation and information output.

Nintendo Wii Development [NEW]

By becoming an Authorized Wii Game Developer, we're excited to be given the opportunity to test our creativeness on an innovative platform. With Wii's implicit focus on fun and never-before-seen gameplay, we'll be aiming to use party and arcade game principles to push the current boundaries of the presentation quality and user interaction. Technical team is thrilled to the prospect of porting our production pipeline and in-game editing capabilities, to enable the artists and designers complete access to the coolness of this small but cute console.
