RUHEMASSE NULL - Designing the Science Fiction Game

The creation of the game and infotainment contents took approximately 6 months. 2 concept artists have prepared a beautiful set of drawings and paintings that illustrated science fiction worlds, machines and characters; those were later built in Autodesk 3DMax and Lightwave and rendered with FinalRender. Most of the game plays in Realtime, which means the artists had to build one high detailed and one low detailed version off each element and character. For the virtual flight over Mars, Titan, Uranus and Triton we have used DEM Data, rendering over 4 million faces per second in real-time. A virtual flight though the solar system, also an interactive game part, was one of the highlights of the simulation.

The concept artist of all technical elements of the game, Daniel Igarza, spent months designing all those fatastic mashines and robotics: the android (s. above) is one of the most remarkable 3D designs we have created in the last few years. Igor Posavec was responsible for transferring all these concepts into the 3D and creating the 3D worlds and animations.

The production of all assets was executed by 3d-io, using the power of modeling tools like Autodesk 3DSMAX and Lightwave, and rendered in FinalRender and DigitalFusion. The main goal was to keep both the creative and the technical side of the project on the highest level and achive an original look & feel, not comparable to other products on the market.
RUHEMASSE NULL - Astromina Concept Art and 3D Design
The main character of the game, Astromina, was designed and illustrated by Jelena Kevic. Her great style, mixed with a sense for beautiful feminine forms and colors has created the main look & feel of the game.
